Your Marwad trip starts from Jodhpur, known as “the Blue City” of Rajasthan. You will be met on your arrival at Jodhpur Railway Station/airport and transferred to your Hotel. You will rest for a while and then move into the city. First up is Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest forts in India. The fort stands high above the blue-painted houses of the old city, and the view is truly breathtaking. Within the fort, there are royal halls, armory, and paintings and palanquins used by the kings and queens.Afterwards, visit Jaswant Thada, a graceful marble cenotaph built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. It is also known as Taj Mahal of Marwar due to its beauty. Later, take a walk through the narrow streets of old Jodhpur with its blue houses, energetic bazaars and local shops displaying handicrafts, spices and textiles.
