Tour Itinerary

Your tour to Rajasthan starts in Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, affectionately known as the Pink City because of its historically coloured buildings. Received at Jaipur Airport or Railway Station by our representative, who will drive you to your hotel for a hassle-free transfer. Relax after your journey.

Then walk around to observe some of the city's most well-known landmarks. Begin with the City Palace, a grand complex that testifies to the imperial glory of Rajasthan. It showcases the synthesis of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture and contains museums that exhibit royal attire, weapons, and artifacts.

Then proceed to Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh II, famous for its precise instruments which still function.

Finish your sightseeing with a visit to the iconic Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). With 953 intricately carved windows or jharokhas, it was designed to allow royal women to observe city life without being seen.

Free evening to stroll in Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar, renowned local bazaars selling jewels, handicrafts, cloth, and souvenirs.

Overnight at Jaipur.

Start the day with a Rajasthani breakfast in traditional style and proceed on an outing to the breathtaking Amber Fort at hilltop location. Take either an elephant or jeep ride and climb to the fort gates. See the majestic courtyards, the gemstone bedecked Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), and experience the birds eye views of the rolling Aravalli Hills far away.

On the return, stop at Jal Mahal (Water Palace), which appears to be floating on Man Sagar Lake.

Later, drive on to the mandatory desert destination of Bikaner, famous for its old forts, palaces, and camel breeding farms. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax.

Overnight in Bikaner.

Post breakfast, visit Junagarh Fort, a work of Rajput art. Junagarh stands differently from most Rajasthan forts because it is situated on flat ground rather than in its usual mound position. Inside the complex lies splendidly decorated interior, palaces, temples, and museums. (Optional) If you dare, visit the Karni Mata Temple, popularly known as the Rat Temple, where thousands of revered rats roam freely. Revered rats, no less, and considered so by locals because they are thought to be reincarnated souls of the ancestors of devotees. After sightseeing, drive to Jaisalmer, also known as the Golden City because of its yellow sandstone buildings that shine in the sunlight. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel and relax after the day's journey. Overnight at Jaisalmer.

Following breakfast, find Jaisalmer's rich history with a visit to the beautiful Jaisalmer Fort, or Sonar Quilla. Unlike other Indian forts, it is a functional fort with city dwellers still living inside its walls. Its golden-brown color glows enchantingly at sunrise and sunset.

Visit the Patwon ki Haveli and Nathmal ki Haveli, splendid mansions with elaborate facades, witnessing the extravagance of prosperous merchants of bygone days.

Spend time to spend quiet hours by Gadisar Lake, which was a tank for water conservation in the past but now a peaceful site dotted with cenotaphs and temples.

During the evening, move on to the interesting Sam Sand Dunes, around 40 km from the city. Experience a night camel ride across the rolling dunes, watch the amazing sunset, and in the evening, relax overnight with a folk dance session, cultural music, and dinner at the desert camp.

Jaisalmer to Desert camp overnight stay.

Relish breakfast in the desert serenity and proceed to Jodhpur, officially called the Blue City due to the numerous blue-colored houses. Arrive and check into your hotel and rest.

Visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort in the afternoon, which stands at an altitude of 400 feet from the city level. It has magnificent views and several palaces, courtyards, and a museum which houses artifacts, weapons, and paintings.

Below the fort, stop at the Jaswant Thada, a marble cenotaph erected in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Famous for its beautiful carvings and serene gardens, it is an oasis of serenity from the bustle of the city.

Spend your evening at Clock Tower Market, where you shall do some spice shopping, purchase cloths and antiques, and indulge in local sweets.

Overnight at Jodhpur.

After breakfast, depart for Udaipur, the City of Lakes, one of Rajasthan's most romantic and beautiful places.

On the way, visit at the famous Ranakpur Jain Temples, a beautiful temple complex renowned for its intricate marble work and 1444 beautifully carved pillars. The temple is a holy pilgrimage site and a showcase of spiritual genius.

Proceed to Udaipur. On arrival, check-in at your hotel. Relax in the evening at leisure on the banks of Lake Pichola. You can have a peaceful boat ride with splendid views of the Jag Mandir and Lake Palace, both very pretty buildings in the middle of the lake.

Overnight in Udaipur.

Start your city tour of Mewar with a trip to the exquisite City Palace, a large complex on the shores of Lake Pichola. Wander through its courtyards, museums, balconies, and heritage rooms decorated with glasswork, paintings, and murals. Make your way over to the nearby Jagdish Temple, a carved temple of Lord Vishnu that is beautiful. This Indo-Aryan temple is a religious gem in the middle of the city. Visit Saheliyon-ki-Bari, Queen's Garden, constructed for queens. It boasts lotus tanks, marble waterfalls, and cozy pavilions, away from urban life. (Optional) Cultural dance evening can be witnessed at Bagore Ki Haveli, which is also a museum of remains of the royal lifestyle. One night stay in Udaipur.

Relish your last breakfast at Udaipur and check-out from your hotel. Depending upon your departure time, we will organize a hassle-free transfer to Udaipur Airport or Railway Station.

As you bid adieu to the royal land of Rajasthan, carry with you the memories of golden sand dunes, pink palaces, peaceful lakes, vibrant bazaars, and hospitality of its people. Your Colourful Tour to Rajasthan concludes here, but memories will last lifelong.
