Tour Itinerary

Your Golden Triangle tour commences with your arrival in Delhi, the pulse of India and an ideal combination of old-world charm and modern living. You are welcomed at the airport or railway station by a representative, who helps you to your booked hotel. After check-in and freshening up, leave to explore the heritage and political sights of the capital city. Begin your tour at Raj Ghat, the serene memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, followed by Jama Masjid, one of India's biggest mosques that boasts beautiful Mughal architecture. Feel the adventure of Old Delhi in a bone-chilling rickshaw ride on Chandni Chowk, centuries-old bazaars and street food aromas offering a sensory treat. Drive through the imposing Red Fort after lunch and into New Delhi to see India Gate, a war memorial lined with green lawns. Drive past Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Parliament House too, power centers of India's politics. Stop later by the 12th-century Qutub Minar and Humayun's Tomb, UNESCO World Heritage Monuments. In the evening, have some peaceful hours at the Bahá'í Lotus Temple, renowned for its lotus-inspired building and peaceful surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Delhi.

Post-breakfast, head to check out of your hotel and drive to Agra in Uttar Pradesh, the erstwhile capital of great Mughal Empire. Come and check-in at your hotel, and freshen up afterwards, and then head out to witness this legendary city. Your journey begins at the Agra Fort, a World Heritage Site red sandstone-designed monument. Walk through its immense courtyards and elegantly designed palaces such as Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khas, and Jahangir Mahal, a reminder of the extravagances of the Mughal dynasty. In the evening, experience the ageless charm of the Taj Mahal, a work of photography and immortal love, given its most photographed location in the world. This white marble mausoleum shines gold with the sun's rays of sunset, and one is left with a fond memory. You may also visit Mehtab Bagh on the opposite bank of the Yamuna River for a serene view of the Taj in sunset. Evening, shop around in local bazaars or opt for the Kalakriti Cultural Show (optional) for a dramatic presentation of the Taj Mahal drama. Overnight in hotel at Agra.

Breakfast, then check-out from hotel and drive to Jaipur, the Pink City and capital of Rajasthan. On the way stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a deserted Mughal city founded by Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century. Although abandoned shortly afterward because of water scarcity, the city is a resplendent example of Indo-Islamic architecture. Stop by to see the imposing Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, Panch Mahal, and the mausoleum of the famous Sufi saint Salim Chishti. Take the drive to Jaipur, popularly called the Pink City since the scene is dominated by red-colored buildings. Upon arrival, get yourself lodged in the hotel and relax. In the afternoon, take an evening walk down Jaipur's vibrant bazaars like the Bapu Bazaar and Johari Bazaar and pick up Rajasthani outfits, traditional accessories, mojris, and crafts. Or you can have a Rajasthani traditional dinner and cultural show at Chokhi Dhani, a village-style resort that recreates the folk culture and cuisine of the area. Overnight in Jaipur

Following breakfast, get ready for an exciting day of royal grandeur and architectural marvel. Begin at Amber Fort, which sits on a hill overlooking Maota Lake. Elephant or jeep ride to Amber Fort and enjoy the palace-hall architecture of Amber, Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), Ganesh Pol, and Diwan-i-Aam. After that, do a quick photo halt at Jal Mahal, a beautiful palace in the centre of Man Sagar Lake, perfect for postcard photos. Follow this with City Palace, a beautiful Mughal-Rajasthani architecture which still belongs to the royal family. It is bracketed by Jantar Mantar, a world of astronomy observatory and UNSECO World Heritage Site with the world's largest stone sundial. Complete your heritage tour by having a visit at the Hawa Mahal, a five-story pink sandstone building of 953 windows especially situated for the women of royalty to observe street celebrations silently. Head over to Birla Mandir or Albert Hall Museum, or simply hang around a roof cafe gazing into Jaipur's glittering horizon as night drops. Overnight in a hotel.

A day has been kept aside to explore the non-touristic side of Jaipur and culture in a laid-back manner. After breakfast late in the morning, go for a heritage walk of the old walled city and visit the old temples, havelis, and local crafts workshops. Or visit the Galtaji Temple (Monkey Temple) in the Aravalli Hills, which is known for its sacred water tanks and mischievous monkeys. If you have an interest in arts and crafts, do a block printing workshop or a jewelry making session to understand local artistry. Join a culinary experience or food walk which tries traditional fare like dal baati churma, ghewar, and laal maas. You may also indulge in relaxation in your hotel or a soothing Ayurvedic massage. Relax either at the Central Park or proceed to Sisodia Rani Garden for an evening of retreat. Dine and have your overnight stay in your hotel at Jaipur

On the last day, have an early breakfast and set off for the return journey to Delhi. If there is time, take a morning stroll to explore the lesser-known residential areas of Jaipur and observe painted houses, morning activity, and village life. You can also stop by a café for chai and a light breakfast before setting off. Start your relaxing road journey back to Delhi in air-conditioned private cars. During the journey, break at highway restaurants for local food and hygienic surroundings. On reaching Delhi, your representative will organize a secure transfer to your desired drop point – airport, railway station, or hotel – as per your onward journey reservation. Your 6 Days Golden Triangle Tour is now complete with memories packed inside your heart, an SD card loaded with photography pictures, and a soul blessed with Indian heritage and hospitality.
