Tour Itinerary

Your tour to Rajasthan starts as you arrive in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Time Traveller India's representative will receive you and escort you to your hotel. After a quick pause, you will start discovering the vibrant streets of Jaipur.

The first destination is the City Palace, a gigantic complex displaying the mix of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture styles. Inside its complex are museums, courtyards, and exquisite halls packed with royal attire, weapons, and artworks. On foot from here is Jantar Mantar, an 18th-century observatory where giant-sized instruments were utilized to observe the stars.

Photograph Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). The pale sandstone building with 953 tiny windows was constructed so that the royal ladies could watch street scenes without being seen.

It's the perfect time at night to roam around local bazaars such as Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar, where you can purchase traditional attire, jewelry, and crafts. Drive back to the hotel after a hectic day and have a cozy night's sleep in Jaipur.

Breakfast is followed by a full day of excursion for Jaipur's grand forts. Start the day with Amber Fort, situated at the top of a hill and renowned for its stunning architecture and mirror work. You can reach the fort climbing on an elephant or jeep. Within the fort are royal rooms, courtyards, and the breathtaking Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors).

Then go to Jaigarh Fort, where the largest wheeled cannon in the world is, and Nahargarh Fort, which provides a bird's eye view of the city. These forts remind you of kings, warriors, and royal living.

In the late afternoon, one can spend a typical Rajasthani evening at Chokhi Dhani. This resort has a village style theme and offers folk dances, puppet shows, camel rides, and authentic Rajasthani cuisine. It is a good way to spend the evening enjoying the local culture in a lively atmosphere. Return to your hotel in Jaipur for an overnight stay.

On the third day, check out after breakfast and go to Ajmer and Pushkar, which are approximately 2–3 hours away from Jaipur.

Ajmer is renowned for the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, the holy dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. Devotees of all religions also visit here to offer their respect and prayers and blessings. The atmosphere is peaceful and spiritual here, and the Sufi music contributes to the peaceful nature of the place.Later, drive to Pushkar, a sacred town famous for its religious Pushkar Lake and the temple of Brahma, one of the few temples in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma. Visit the ghats, participate in spiritual rituals, and soak in the serene atmosphere of the town.Pushkar also boasts a thriving hippie culture with tiny cafes, local bazaars, and exquisite handicrafts. Overnight stay at Pushkar or Ajmer.

Have breakfast and then checkout and head towards Jodhpur, otherwise called the Blue City due to the blue-painted houses of the old city. The journey takes about 4–5 hours, and upon arrival, you will check in at your hotel and spend some time relaxing.Later during the day, visit Mehrangarh Fort, a very large fort in India. The fort is atop a steep rock and provides wonderful views of the city. There are royal apartments, museums, and well-cut windows within that showcase the grandeur and authority of the Rajput rulers. Then, visit Jaswant Thada, a serene marble memorial constructed in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Then, stroll around the Clock Tower Market and buy spices, handicrafts, and local sweets. Overnight at Jodhpur.

Today, depart from Jodhpur and drive to Udaipur, the City of Lakes. On the way, you can visit the Ranakpur Jain Temple, a stunning marble temple featuring 1,444 intricately carved pillars.

On arrival at Udaipur, check-in at the hotel and relax. In the evening, take a boat ride over Lake Pichola and visit the stunning Lake Palace and Jag Mandir, which float in the center of the lake. The sunset over the lake is an eye treat. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Start your day with breakfast and get ready to bask in the romantic charm of Udaipur. Start with the City Palace, constructed on top of a hill that overlooks Lake Pichola. It is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan and features majestic courtyards, balconies, towers, and museums. The view from the top is simply breathtaking. Then, visit the Jagdish Temple, which is devoted to Lord Vishnu. Its exquisite carvings and sacred environment are downright fascinating. Then, proceed to Saheliyon Ki Bari, which is a lovely garden constructed for royal court ladies, having fountains, lotus pools, and marble pavilions. In the afternoon, take a walk along local marketplaces for Rajasthani folk paintings, miniatures, silver ornaments, and leather accessories. Or sit in a lakeside café too. Overnight stay at Udaipur.

Breakfast, then checkout of your hotel and move towards your back. You can either take a flight or train from Udaipur or return to Jaipur according to your travelling choice.

As your 7 Days Tour Package of Rajasthan concludes, carry with you lovely memories of royal palaces, serene lakes, vibrant streets, and rich heritage. This trip may have concluded, but the Rajasthani hospitality and charm would remain imprinted in your heart forever.
