Tour Itinerary

The student group tour to Jaipur will begin from the day when the student group reaches Jaipur. After the group's arrival, the group will be welcomed by a representative and will be taken to the hotel for check-in. The students will rest for a while and then proceed to visit some of Jaipur's top attractions.

City Palace will be the point of beginning visit, a beautiful palace complex with courtyards and museums, highlighting the royal history of Jaipur. Students would be able to feel the complexity of Rajasthani architecture and be able to learn about royals who resided there. City Palace is a mix of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture and hence a good learning experience for students. In evening go for dinner at a local restaurant with traditional Rajasthani cuisine such as dal baati churma, gatte ki sabzi, and laal maas. There will be lively folk music and dance, exposing the cultural wealth of Rajasthan.

Overnight Jaipur.

Day 2 will consist of explorations to Jaipur's world-famous forts. The students will be taken to Amber Fort, which is located a little outside the city, after breakfast. Amber Fort is a stunning place of Rajput architecture and gives a broad panoramic view of the area of Aravalli hills. The palace complex can be approached by the students via Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public Audience), and Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience). Each of these chapters tells a individual tale of Rajasthan's royal past.

Then the team will go to Jaigarh Fort, which is jointly owned by Amber Fort on the same hill top. Jaigarh Fort is known for housing the world's largest wheeled cannon, Jaivana, and offering nice views of Jaipur. Students will be learning about the military history of Rajasthan and how the forts like this protected the kingdom to be safe.

The latter part of the afternoon will be spent at Nahargarh Fort, which is a vantage point overlooking the Pink City of Jaipur. The fort gives a bird's eye view of the whole Pink City and enables students to witness the city's architectural magnificence.

Night halt in Jaipur.

Day 3 will acquaint students with the astronomical heritage and cultural background of Jaipur. Our first stop of the day will be the 18th-century astronomy and observatory World Heritage Site Jantar Mantar. Jantar Mantar is an assembly of huge instruments, which among other items includes the world's largest sundial, Samrat Yantra, and various other time- and astronomy-measuring instruments. They will also be led on a guided tour of the estate where they will learn more about the Maharaja's and other history of astronomy by means of observing time and star movement.

Next, the group will visit the Hawa Mahal, or Wind Palace. The traditional structure with honeycomb-patterned exterior and long series of narrow windows was built for royal women in the house to observe the street life of the city without being observed. The students will observe the architectural ingenuity of Hawa Mahal and how it functioned as a component of royal life.

During the afternoon session, the team will visit the Albert Hall Museum that possesses a treasure trove of paintings in miniatures, sculptures, fabrics, and weapons. The museum offers the learners a chance to learn about the art and culture of Rajasthan.

In afternoon, the students will visit Johari Bazaar, Jaipur, renowned for its stunning jewelry, particularly Kundan and Meenakari work. The students will see local artisans at work on the jewelry and will experience the skill of these stunning pieces of jewelry and in Night, students will witness a cultural event of Rajasthani folk music and dance in the evening, which again will render the students sensitive to the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan.

Night stop at Jaipur.

The day will be utilized on Jaipur's local culture and bazaars after breakfast. The day starts with a visit to the white marble temple Birla Mandir, a temple that is devoted to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. The students will study the temple's architectural style and what it represents in Jaipur's religious practices.

Subsequently, the group will proceed to Chokhi Dhani, a resort village that provides rural Rajasthani village living experience. Camel ride, puppet show, and performance by folk artists are optional and at an additional cost for the students. It is a learning experience as well as a fun one, bringing students into direct contact with rural artisans, exposing them to rural Rajasthani villagers' way of living, and into authentic food of Rajasthani cuisine.

In their own time, the students will also be able to while away their free time shopping at Jaipur's two oldest and busiest bazaars, Tripolia Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar. Both of these bazaars are packed with people and present huge opportunity for students to walk around doing some traditional Rajasthani crafts, handicrafts, and souvenirs shopping. The students will also get a chance to mingle with the local shopkeepers and understand Rajasthani culture, for example, block printing, pottery, and lacquer work.

Students' visit in the evening to Central Park, where they can relax and find out about Rajasthan's flora and fauna, and find some calm from nature.

Evening at Jaipur. Overnight stay at Jaipur.

On the final day of the tour, in the morning after breakfast, students will depart from the hotel and proceed towards the Govind Dev Ji Temple, a very popular temple of Lord Krishna. The temple is a sacred place of Jaipur and serves as a platform that offers students a chance to get exposure to the sacred life and religious faith of the destination.

After leaving the temple, students get some time free to go shopping or sightsee as per their choice. Subject to the departure schedule of the train or flight, the group will be accompanied to the railway station or airport for departure.
