Your Char Dham journey starts with your arrival at Haridwar, the holy entrance to the Himalayas. Our Time Traveller India representatives will welcome you warmly at the airport or railway station. Post orientation, we have a scenic drive to Barkot.
Along the way, stop to enjoy the scenery of Mussoorie hills and relax at the waterfall-like Kempty Falls. On arrival in Barkot, stay in your comfortable hotel among greens. Leisure time to rest and acclimatize before the spiritual excursion to come.
Stay: Luxury hotel in Barkot.
Early morning after enjoying a sumptuous breakfast, we set off towards the destination point Janki Chatti for Yamunotri trek. The trekkers can either walk, take pony ride, or a palki ride for climbing the scenic path of Yamunotri Temple.
At Yamunotri, obtain blessings at the divine shrine of Goddess Yamuna and bathe in the sacred hot waters of holy Surya Kund. Return back to Janki Chatti after darshan and a profoundly satisfying spiritual experience, and drive back to Barkot. Relax the evening away in nature's tranquility.
Stay: Barkot premium hotel.
Today morning after breakfast, travel to the picturesque town of Uttarkashi, which is situated on the banks of sacred Bhagirathi River. During your journey, enjoy spectacular vistas of mountain valleys and picturesque villages.
After arrival at Uttarkashi, overnight stay at your hotel. Evening, visit the sacred Vishwanath Temple, a temple of Lord Shiva, and enjoy the spiritual atmosphere of the tranquil town surroundings.
Stay: Hotel in Uttarkashi with better facilities.
Early morning breakfast and we head towards the scenic town of Gangotri, the abode of the origin of River Ganga. The road goes through pine forests, rock faces, and chattering brooks.
Offer prayers at the holy Gangotri Temple, against a white range and fresh Himalayan air. After seeking god's blessings, return to Uttarkashi by car. Spend an evening of serene relaxation remembering the day's holy moments.
Stay: Luxury hotel in Uttarkashi.
Post-breakfast, we proceed to Guptkashi, a holy town in the Mandakini River valley. Along the way, we cross Tehri Dam — India's tallest dam — and numerous spectacular mountain vistas.
On arrival, check into a good hotel and relax. Guptkashi's peaceful surroundings are the ideal place to prepare for tomorrow's much-anticipated Kedarnath Darshan.
Stay: Good hotel at Guptkashi.
It is the highlight day of the Char Dham yatra. Early morning visit the helipad for a helicopter trip to Kedarnath (optional, subject to weather conditions and availability). The pilgrims may also trek from Gaurikund (approximately 16 km) to Kedarnath.
On arrival at Kedarnath, do darshan at the ancient Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Experience the power of devotion surrounded by Himalayan majesty. Return from darshan by helicopter or trek to Guptkashi.
Stay: Upgraded hotel at Guptkashi.
Begin early today morning after breakfast and drive to Badrinath. Along the way enjoy breathtaking Himalayan scenery, picturesque hamlets, and sacred rivers. On arrival at Badrinath, offer obeisance at the massive temple of Lord Vishnu.
Explore nearby sites such as Tapt Kund, Brahma Kapal, and Mana Village (last Indian village on the route to Indo-China border).
After Badrinath Darshan, start the return journey home, via Rudraprayag — where Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers converge — and head towards Haridwar. Reach Haridwar, ending your soul-stirring Char Dham Yatra with Time Traveller India.
Reach railway station/airport for onward journey with a soul that's full of divine blessings.
